BRIEF:
Christian Media Alliance, originally called Christian Media News is a non profit organization dedicated to connecting Christians in media all over the world. Our objective is to help, inform, provide services and provide instructions for Christians in media.
Our mission is "to take back media for the glory of God."
CMN(Alliance) is an alliance of Christians in media connected up from all parts of the US and world... united in faith to 'take back media for the glory of God.' Our mission is to encourage and support each other whenever we can. Some of us have gone to other parts of the world to speak about media evangelism and/or to work with and for pastors, church groups, communities, etc. as missionaries to teach using media in evangelizing.
There are still parts of the world where a Christian TV show or station may not be aired, but media is/can be smuggled into these areas. There are still parts of the world where hungry pre-Christians cannot read or write so a bible would not do much good... but they can watch a DVD, listen to a CD, etc. etc. and learn about the salvation of Jesus Christ... where they may come to know the Lord through these methods. That's our goal... to make sure we fill in the gaps for the huge ministries and help support and encourage each other to keep doing media glorifying to God. One small effort to help can be worth a soul or plant a seed for a nation.
VISION
In 1992, several Christians in media, had a dream... a vision of Christians in media coming together to encourage the production of media evangelism all over the world. A white flag flew in the center of many various buildings. Each building housed a different aspect of the production of drama, arts, dance, visual and audio production and all aspects of media.
Every morning, prayers were said over the production of this media and the Holy Spirit loomed over them. A staff of pastors discussed the media that was ready to be shipped in various parts of the world. They critiqued the media for Biblical accuracy.
Each aspect of media had a group of professionals that critiqued the material for creativity and quality.
Everything that had to be done, was done, to insure the products of this collective media endeavor were Biblically accurate and of the highest quality. Product that would please a King.
The results of this vision originated in 1997 as Christian Meida News and now, Christian Media News (Alliance)... a ministry on the internet for the purpose of connecting Christians in media all over the world. We expect to see every aspect of the vision complete.
1. So that Christians in media may instruct, work with, and help each other.
2. To encourage and provide resources for Chrsitians in media.
3. To insure Biblical accuracy so that media evangelism glorifying to God will increase throughout the world.
4. Providing Christians in media information to enable them to produce media evangelism that is Biblically accurate and glorifying to God.
5. To take back media for the glory of God!

Christian Media News (Alliance) Brief Profile
Christian Media News (Alliance) is the crossroads connecting Christians in media all over the world and informing them of what other Christians in media are saying and doing. Our goal is to encourage the production of media evangelism globally. Media evangelism is media work, glorifying to God, which maintains Biblical accuracy. This could include the arts, music, publications, TV, anything audio/visual, fine arts, etc.
We've discovered that media evangelism is the only way to reach some people, particularly in underdeveloped countries, among the illiterate and unchurched people groups. Media evangelism has been used by tele-evangelists with amazing results. The evangelists have been helping many mostly middle-class people in the US and Europe and lower class people in underdeveloped countries come to the Lord and stay focused on the Lord.
Churched Christians have come to realize the love of God but are also in need of audio and visual media which will keep them stimulated in the things of God and out of the world the world's way of doing things and keep them focused on God’s will in their lives. Christian TV programs and movies are particularly effective.
Psalm 101:3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
We are a non profit organization composed of approximately 25 volunteers and a growing prayer department brought together primarily through the Internet to encourage, support, teach, pray for, and build up the body of Christians in media to “take back media for the glory of God.” We have been seeing a tremendous change and stand in media for God’s glory since we officially launched our first website in January 1998. Newsletters of interest to Christians in media began in July 1997. Christians in media have been benefiting by the encouragement, teachings, and connections to other Christians in media and we are continually seeing a growth and desire from Christians to “take a stand” and do work that truly is glorifying to God.
CMN (Alliance) sends out a newsletter every month or two with updates of interest to Christians in media from other Christians in media and we welcome your information to share with the CMN (Alliance) community.
